A Nashville native, Captain Jim Hardaway grew up with a love for history–both local and national.
With a natural curiosity in many areas and a gift for storytelling, Jim is an ideal choice to make Nashville’s past and present come to life. He knows the major stories and the minor anecdotes–history and hearsay.
Among his passions is a love for music. He may be the only person you’ll meet who sat down to breakfast with Johnny Cash and June Carter at their fabled house on the lake. A guitarist and vocalist, he teams up with two friends to form Ridin’ The Rails, a trio united by train songs, old and new.
He and his wife Louise enjoy travel, reading and holding grandbabies.
